You can sometimes see that inside my sweaters, because it can happen that there are still one or two unsewn threads dangling around. Nobody sees it anyway.
As meticulous as I am with everything that is visible, I am sometimes a bit careless on the inside.
This is mainly due to the fact that I lack patience and my thoughts are already on the next project and I can hardly wait to start something new.
I also know that you are already waiting for new ideas and patterns from me ;)
Beginning and end really need to be sewn. Mostly also the threads under the armpit, but when it comes to the many ends from the end of a skein, I try everything to avoid the hanging threads.
So solutions have to be found to extend a skein of wool.
For endless knitting fun
And there are some, which I would like to introduce to you here:
My favorite method at number 1.
With (not so much) patience and spit: Felting.
It's fast, you don't need any accessories and it's absolutely invisible. The felt joint works with any natural virgin wool, alpaca, and anything that's not too slippery. I do this by tearing off both ends to be joined so that they have a frayed end (with thick wool I make sure to create a longer course, splice and tear off a part shorter so that the felted area is not too thick), overlap both sides 3-4cm and roll them between the palms of my
hands, which I have previously moistened (no, of course not with spit ;)*.
Due to the moisture and heat, the ends felt together and you can immediately continue knitting. Endlessly ...

Place 2 is easy.
But not always invisible: knitting a few stitches (5-6) with double thread is the easiest method, however, it is often visible on plain stockinette showing the thicker stitches. In some places under the arms or in pattern knits, you can hide it quite well. If you later cut the threads inside, and glue the ends with some colorless nail polish, it holds bombproof. The advantage of this method is that it works with any yarn, including plain cotton or silk.
If you use a plied yarn twith 2 or 4 strands, you can cut about 10cm in half and knit the double knit area with half a strand each of the old and new yarn. It will be as good as invisible, but it is a fiddly job.
Oh, and then there's the good old weaver knot, which works quite well for thin yarns. However, they should not be too slippery, otherwise it could come undone again and then you have a hole in your sweater!
For smooth yarn, I usually stick with the old method of sewing ends. I continue to knit with the new yarn, and knot the ends after I have knitted 1-2 rows over it (not before, otherwise the knot comes out!) Then it is sewn and fixed with nail polish. (Attention the knot should create the form of a 8, otherwise it goes up easier).
Of course there are countless other methods, and if I come across something that is worth mentioning, I will add it here.

Das sieht man manchmal im Inneren meiner Pullover, denn es kann schon vorkommen, dass da noch ein oder zwei unvernähte Fäden herumbaumeln. Sieht ja eh keiner.
So penibel ich bei allem bin, was sichtbar ist, so nachlässig bin ich manchmal im Inneren.
Das liegt vor allem daran, dass es mir an Geduld mangelt und ich mit meinen Gedanken schon wieder beim nächsten Projekt bin und es kaum erwarten kann, was Neues anzuschlagen.
Ich weiß ja auch, dass Ihr da draußen schon wieder auf neue Ideen und Anleitungen von mir wartet ;)
Anfang und Ende muss man wirklich vernähen und das mache ich auch ganz brav. Meistens auch noch die Fäden unter der Achsel, wenn es aber um die vielen Enden geht, wo ein Knäul zu Ende ist, versuche ich alles, um die hängenden Fäden zu vermeiden.
Also müssen Lösungen her, um ein Knäul Wolle zu verlängern.
Für Endlos-Strickspaß
Und da gibt es auch einige, die ich euch hier vorstellen möchte:
Meine Lieblingsmethode auf Platz 1.
Mit (gar nicht so viel) Geduld und Spucke: Das Filzen.
Es geht schnell, man braucht kein Zubehör und es ist absolut unsichtbar. Die Filz-Verbindung funktioniert mit jeder naturbelassenen Schurwolle, Alpaca und allem, was nicht zu glatt ist. Ich reiße dazu beide Enden, die verbunden werden sollen ab, so dass sie ein ausgefranstes Ende haben (bei dicker Wolle achte ich darauf, einen längeren Verlauf zu schaffen, spleiße und reiße einen Teil kürzer ab, damit die gefilzte Stelle nicht zu dick wird), überlappe beide Seiten 3-4cm und rolle sie zwischen den Handflächen, die ich zuvor angefeuchtet habe (nein, natürlich nicht mit Spucke ;)*. Durch die Feuchtigkeit und Hitze filzen die Enden zusammen und man kann sofort weiterstricken. Endlos ...
Ich bin kein Klima-Kleber, aber ich klebe auch...
Platz 2 ist einfach.
Aber nicht immer unsichtbar: Einige Maschen (5-6) mit doppeltem Faden zu stricken, ist die einfachste Methode, allerdings ist sie auf glatt rechts Gestricktem oft sichtbar in Form von dickeren Maschen. An manchen Stellen unter den Armen oder in Musterstrick kann man das ganz gut verstecken. Wenn man später die Fäden innen abschneidet, und die Enden mit etwas farblosem Nagellack anklebt, hält das bombenfest. Der Vorteil dieser Methode ist, dass sie mit jedem Garn funktioniert, auch mit glatter Baumwolle oder Seide.
Wenn man ein Garn verwendet, das aus 2 oder 4 Fäden besteht, kann man ca. 10cm halbieren und den doppelt gestrickten Bereich mit je einem halben Faden vom alten und Neuen Garn stricken. Wird so gut wie unsichtbar, ist aber eine Fummelei.
Achja, und dann gibt's noch den guten alten Weberknoten, der für dünne Garne recht gut funktioniert. Allerdings sollten sie nicht allzu glatt sein, sonst könnte es wieder aufgehen und dann hat man ein Loch im Pulli!
Bei glattem Garn bleibe ich meist bei der alten Methode des Enden Vernähens. Ich stricke mit dem neuen Faden weiter, und verknüpfe die Enden nachdem ich 1-2 Reihen darüber gestrickt habe (nicht vorher, sonst kommt der Knoten raus!) Dann wird vernäht und mit Nagellack fixiert. (Achtung der Knoten sollte eine 8 ergeben, sonst geht es leichter auf).
Natürlich gibt es noch unzählige andere Methoden, und falls mir etwas unterkommt, dass erwähnenswert ist, werde ich das hier ergänzen.
